Achoura 2019

From September 11 to 14, 2019, the Dar Bellarj Foundation organized the second edition of “Achoura.” Under the title “Aït Rabaïne, from Heritage to the Soul of Morocco,” the event paid tribute to a historic moment that brought together the forty mâalems of Marrakech. In tribute to mâalem Baba, a great figure of Daqqa Marrakchia, the second edition of “Achoura” invited audiences on a journey through the soul of Morocco.

Through its many rituals, Achoura celebrates most of the elements of our shared heritage: craftsmanship, culinary arts, music, dance, storytelling, joy, family…

Mothers and children will work together with the artist to create an installation, while the latter will present the results in the form of a performance on September 14.

Dar Bellarj Radio / Achoura Radio Workshop — September 14, 4:00 PM

The workshop will conclude with a live radio session on September 14.
